What We Do
The Australian Tourism Industry Council (ATIC) advocates on behalf of tourism operators nationwide, working with governments and industry partners to influence national policy decisions that directly impact the visitor economy.
Together, ATIC members represent 9000+ tourism operators across the length and breadth of the country, from Broome to Bruny Island, and Port Lincoln to Port Douglas. This is easily the largest and most diverse representation of tourism operators across Australia.

Our Role in Shaping Policy
Through ongoing consultation and collaboration, ATIC:
- Represents tourism operators in national discussions with government.
- Provides input into industry-wide strategies and frameworks.
- Ensures small and regional businesses have a voice in policy development.
- Partners with peak bodies to align on key industry priorities.
