The Online, International and Trade Distribution program aims to improve the growth of tourism businesses by assisting them to improve how they sell their product online, through trade channels and distribute their product.
This program guides tourism businesses to:
- Assess and understand where their business currently sits regarding their marketing and distribution channels;
- Identify international markets that their product is suited for;
- Gain an understanding of how to craft and package their product to best meet their market’s needs and expectations; and
- Facilitate the identification of the most effective means to grow their business.
Businesses will complete a comprehensive self-assessment that reviews and evaluates their:
- Marketing and digital experience of the customer throughout the visitor journey;
- Knowledge of tourism distribution channels;
- Their product’s distribution readiness; and
- Utilisation of distribution channels.
Once completed, a business will receive a customised and detailed report that outlines areas of business improvement. These areas of business improvement are ordered by priority, guiding businesses with clear and practical steps needed to ensure their product is ready for online, trade and international marketing and distribution.
International Ready Accreditation
International Ready accreditation recognises business that have appropriate business practices to work within the international travel distribution system.
To be accredited, businesses must meet the required business standards by completing the assessment within the Online, International and Trade Distribution program. Where a business meets these standards, they will be issued with the corresponding brandmark logo.
